Human Machine Interface
I have been leading the UX in a forward looking project at Jaguar Land Rover exploring how off-road controls could evolve for future Defender vehicles. The vision was to imagine an off-road cockpit that brings together cameras, terrain technologies, and new feature ideas into a seamless, intuitive experience.
Working alongside teams from Design, Brand, UX, Engineering, and off-road specialists, I took part in design workshops where we explored how future drivers might interact with their vehicle in challenging environments. Through rapid ideation, sketching, and low-fidelity concepts, I helped generate a wide range of ideas
centred on clarity, usability, and the unique character of the Defender.
A key part of my approach was making the experience not only easy to use, but genuinely fun, engaging, and memorable. Off-roading isn't just about capability it's about adventure. Many of my concepts focused on how the interface could build confidence, encourage exploration, and help drivers create unforgettable experiences behind the wheel.
The result is a collection of imaginative concepts that rethink how future Defender owners could connect with their vehicle, the terrain, and the thrill of off-road driving.
